The Marie Felling’s Model hull is fully detailed, as is the two part superstructure and funnel. All these parts are moulded in GRP. Deck and bridge are ply, with a printed ply overlay. Fittings are cast white metal. The superstructure is easily removable to allow easy access to the hull making this model ideal for steam propulsion.

She was originally commissioned by a Crown Colonies contract for service in the Tanzania town of Dares-Salaam. Built by Earls of Hall and launched in 1928, she was designed for many different types of harbour work and intended to help British colonies and support the growing trade network across the empire.

Details of the model kit

This model ship kit of the Marie Felling is highly detailed and contains many parts, so we do recommend that you have previous experience of building model kits before attempting this build. The hull and superstructure are moulded in GRP. Most other fixtures, such as the deck and bridge are made with plywood. The fittings are finished in cast white metal. The superstructure can be removed to adapt the kit for steam propulsion or for use as an rc boat. Full instructions to build the model are included in English.
