Description

The ONE Apus is a 14,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) container ship. Unfortunately, it’s most well-known for losing an estimated 1,816 containers in the Pacific Ocean, in 2020. This was the largest loss of containers in transport since 2013.

It was built in Japan, in 2019.

This brilliant model is an excellent reproduction of the real-life counterpart, complete with hundreds of containers and a stark red paint job. It makes for an eye-catching piece of decoration for any maritime enthusiast.

  Premier Ship Models did a great job of finding the kit I was after, an Aeronaut Pilot boat. Once found, it shipped quickly, but was held up in customs.
